• Mac app: Steel Profiles runs natively on macOS 13 and later, with a sidebar, keyboard navigation and the same tools as iPhone and iPad.
• iCloud sync: favorites, projects, weight lists and saved sections stay up to date on every device, including between the free app and Steel Profiles Pro.
• Design Checks: EN 1993-1-1 (Eurocode 3) and AISC 360-22 resistances for axial force, bending and shear, flexural and lateral-torsional buckling and beam-column interaction (EC3 Annex B method 2, AISC H1 with Appendix 8 amplification), with every formula and intermediate value shown.
• Section Builder: properties of welded and built-up sections from plates and tubes, with presets for welded I and box sections, built-up channels, tees, angles and plated beams.
• Bolts: metric M8 to M64 to EN 1993-1-8 and imperial 1/2" to 1 1/2" to AISC 360, with shear, tension, bearing, preload and slip resistance.
• Steel grades: EN 10025, EN 10210/10219, ASTM, CSA, AS/NZS and JIS strengths by thickness, with approximate equivalents.
• Bulb flats (Holland profiles, EN 10067): 68 sizes from HP 60 x 4 to HP 430 x 20 in the European library, after a request from a ship structures specialist.
• Export: profiles and comparisons as PDF or CSV, projects as CSV.
• Equivalent Finder matches within the same shape family and shows clear source and target libraries; Comparator picks sections from any library.
• Search a series, such as "HEA", to list all its sizes; "HEA 200", "HEA200" and "HE 200 A" all find the same section.
• Imperial dimensions can be shown as fractions to 1/16".
• Much faster start-up on the Mac with large libraries.
• Fixed: the app could fail to open after restoring an iPhone from a backup.
• Many other improvements and fixes. Purchases made in earlier versions remain valid; use Restore Purchases after a reinstall.
