HEA (HE A) sections are the light series of the European wide flange beams (Euronorm 53-62, tolerances to EN 10034). The actual depth is slightly less than the nominal size: HEA 200 is 190 mm deep and 200 mm wide. HEA is the usual choice for columns and for beams that need a wide flange, and the parallel flanges simplify connections.
